We also offer a construction service if you’re not that handy at DIY.  Ask for a quote.

*Please note, this beach hut does not include the base and wheels or steps as shown in the picture above and on the programme, but it will look just as lovely sat firmly on the ground! We recommend that you site it on a level, stable base, such as a 100mm concrete slab. If you liked the wheels, these were sourced from ebay – search for ‘shepherd’s huts wheels’ or ‘cast iron wheels’, but you will also need to build a suitable chassis.

It also does not include the porch post and railings. Railings and spindles are readily available from most DIY stores.  The two taller posts were specially commissioned from a local wood turner.

The beach hut, once built, will need to be treated with recommended products (it is not already preserved as stated on the programme). You will need a coat of Cuprinol clear wood preservative inside and out and then two coats of weather protector. We used Sadolin Superdec  opaque – ‘Shamen’ (blue) for the walls,  ‘Limestone’ (light blue) for the door & shutters and ‘Whisper Grey’ for the  fascia boards and railings.

The woodburner was from Glastonbury Burners, ask for Dave. You must ensure you use HETAS certified insulated flue parts and that you have a suitable hearth and back plate.

If you missed the programme, you can always catch up on 4OD.
