A little bit about us and our Keops log cabins

We are very proud to present our range of Keops Interlock log cabins but before you delve in to our website we would quickly like to introduce ourselves.

We are a family business with a chartered engineering background and have been in the business of selling log cabins in the UK for over twenty-one years. We have the best quality, best value and most flexible log cabin designs on the market. We deliver to you on time, with the best method of delivery. We are experienced at listening to your preferences and designing a cabin to your specification. We make no false claims and if something goes wrong, we always put it right. We keep you informed of everything that is happening during the process. The whole team including office staff, builders and delivery drivers are very proud to be a part of this business and stop at nothing to provide the best service we can to ensure that our customers’ log cabin purchasing experience is very pleasurable and without stress.

So sit back, relax, think of your log cabin…breathe in the beautiful pine fragrance, feel the peaceful ambience envelope you. Let your imagination take over. Can you see it? Can you see yourself in it? What are you doing? Curled up in a comfy chair with a gin and tonic and your favourite book? Pumping up your muscles and burning off those calories? Drinking a cold beer, whilst watching the footie on a wide screen TV with your best buddies? Sewing or quilting with all your materials spread about you? Beating your mates at snooker? Practising to become world champion table tennis player? Sitting in your hot tub relaxing with a glass of wine? Are you producing beautiful furniture on your lathe? Setting up your train set? Entertaining friends on a beautiful summer’s evening with a barbeque outside? Making your fortune in your new office? Painting a future masterpiece? Sculpting? Tucking up your Austin Healey Sprite for the night? Perhaps you are in your new hair salon or beauty treatment or therapy room? Are you practising yoga, dance routines, piano, singing, guitar or drums? Have you just slithered out of your swimming pool straight under the hot shower in your pool side cabin? Are you warming your toes in front of a log burner sipping cocoa on a cold snowy day? Building a Lamborgini? Are you taking a well earned break in your caravan mobile home on that plot of land you bought on top of the mountain overlooking the sea? Or is your house so peaceful and tidy now because the teenage kids are having their rave/sleepover at the bottom of the garden? Is Granny living independently at the end of the garden? Perhaps you are teaching in your new classroom or having afternoon tea during the break at a cricket match in your new sports pavilion? Don’t stop there…the possibilities are endless.

To give you some ideas, explore our website or look through our brochures at the many log cabins that have been built for our customers. Don’t despair if you can’t see exactly what you want. Maybe we need to send you another type of log cabin brochure, or maybe we just need a chat. For those “techies” amongst you who like plenty of information to read, we have a very comprehensive technical specification sheet called The Blueprint and also a letter called The Wish List which you may or may not want to fill in and send back to us, but will help you focus your mind on exactly what you need from your log cabin. Have a good browse, then give us a call or drop us a line and tell us exactly what you would like. We will take care of the rest.

Wildgoose Rural Training – Phase Two

During January 2022, we started work on phase two for Wildgoose Rural Training. The new tearoom and vistor centre started taking shape which is designed to complement the education centre and encourage vistors to explore the wonderful nature reserve. Again the log cabin was designed and built to full building regulations standard. The building measures 12 metres by 8 metres with an apex/ridge roof with heavy duty laminated shingles in Ontario green to match the existing cabin. A 3 metre canopy with a Velux roof window links the existing building to the new, providing a walkway through to [...]

Adding a useful lean-to to your log cabin

A lean-to or side store can be a great addition to any log cabin. They can add much needed extra space for a more economical price. Ideal as storage, garden equipment, bikes, tools etc, can be safely stored out of the way but readily accessible when needed. And because its use is more utilitarian, the specification can be lower than the main cabin which saves on the budget. For example you could choose the lean-to in 33m logs and forego the insulation in this part as there would be little benefit, a wooden floor is optional. Standard sizes are [...]

Having now completed the build of the cabin I ordered I just wanted to email you to thank everybody for the professionalism I have encountered during the various stages of this project. You are without doubt one of the few (if not the only) company doing this that can be relied on to deliver a truly professional service with support every step of the way. This includes the design right through to the delivery and support during the build process.

I was building the cabin myself, and to be fair it was a fairly large cabin so I had underestimated the time it would take me to do this build outside of the normal day job. Now I have completed it I am very pleased with the result. Something good to show for all that hard work, with support a phone call away.

I would also like to specifically mention both Rob and Murray in my thanks. Rob for his infinite patience and professionalism whilst I went through several iterations of the design, always on hand to answer any questions I had in detail (of which there were many). Murray for his support on the several queries I had during various aspects of the build process – mainly around the roofing, valley structure/doors etc.

Well the cabin is up and complete, on time and we could not be happier with the outcome. Just a few words to say many thanks for all of your help, from design up to the finished product. I would also like to say what a brilliant work force you provided, from the extremely helpful driver who delivered the cabin, and the helpful and industrious guys who built the cabin.

I would like to say that my wife and I are absolutely delighted with the cabin which is going to be our retirement home.

We were also very impressed with the construction team that built it. They were extremely professional and thoroughly nice guys. Thank you very much.
