At its core is a rigid, high-density insulation board crafted from urethane—a material renowned for its outstanding insulating properties. These boards are thoughtfully designed in generous dimensions, measuring 2.4m x 1.2m per sheet, allowing for comprehensive coverage and efficient installation.

Adding to its insulation prowess, both sides of the board are coated with reflective foil. This dual-sided foil coating serves as a strategic enhancement, deflecting and radiating heat, thereby contributing to a well-balanced and temperate environment within your log cabin. The reflective foil not only reinforces the insulation's effectiveness but also optimises its ability to maintain a comfortable temperature, regardless of external weather conditions.

Building Regulations for Floor Insulation:

We offer a floor insulation system that complies with Building Regulations control.

This includes damp proof membrane, air gap, 80mm rigid urethane insulation followed by a vapour control barrier.

Comfort Grade Floor Insulation:

The material is simply cut to size with a handsaw and laid between the floor bearers of the cabin.

We have several methods for lifting the material off the ground or for supplying a particularly good ventilating damp proof membrane. This will depend on your foundation conditions and we can advise on the best method for your application.

Our insulation upgrade option includes all materials and instructions to complete this work, including materials to keep out unwanted pests.
